Can you get high on nuvigil

My brain waves -- usually jumbled, misfiring, and inconsistent -- felt untangled and clean, like a futuristic room full of glowing servers from Dubai, if you will. I found it very hard to sleep. The outside of my body felt like what the inside of my brain usually feels like: exhausted.

I was mentally alert with a tired outer shell; I was lethargic and my muscles wanted to remain idle. Do 10 pushups?

Walk up three flights of stairs? It was a constant Nothing is bad but nothing is good, all at once. Call it a muted euphoria. Not once. I hate to think that drugs meant to elevate your mood can bring you to such a dark place.

My overall focus? Writing, I found, became a superhuman trait granted, the most boring superhero on Earth, but still. I felt words and their synonyms flow from my fingers like lightning and I was typing verbatim what I was thinking. I felt articulate, concentrated. Use Nuvigil Armodafinil exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Armodafinil may be habit-forming. Never share armodafinil with another person, especially someone with a history of drug abuse or addiction. Selling or giving away armodafinil is against the law. Read all patient information, medication guides, and instruction sheets provided to you.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. Armodafinil is usually taken each morning to prevent daytime sleepiness, or 1 hour before the start of a work shift to treat work-time sleep disorders. If you are taking armodafinil to treat sleepiness caused by obstructive sleep apnea, you may also be treated with a continuous positive airway pressure CPAP machine.

This machine is an air pump connected to mask that gently blows pressurized air into your nose while you sleep. The pump does not breathe for you, but the gentle force of air helps keep your airway open to prevent obstruction. Do not stop using your CPAP machine during sleep unless your doctor tells you to. The combination of treatment with CPAP and armodafinil may be necessary to best treat your condition.

Taking this medication does not take the place of getting enough sleep. Talk with your doctor if you continue to have excessive sleepiness even while taking armodafinil. Armodafinil will not cure obstructive sleep apnea or treat its underlying causes. Follow your doctor's instructions about all your other treatments for this disorder.

Keep track of your medicine. Armodafinil is a drug of abuse and you should be aware if anyone is using your medicine improperly or without a prescription. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but avoid taking the medication if you do not plan to be awake for several hours. If it is close to your normal bedtime hour, you may need to skip the missed dose and wait until the next day to take the medicine again.

Talk with your doctor about what to do if you miss a dose of armodafinil. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose. Eventually, as the day continued, I stopped procrastinating and the drugs seemed to be having the intended effect. This, though, occurred at about 8pm - when I did not want them to kick in. I worked endlessly until around 11pm in the office - editing, filming, writing - doing things I didn't even know I needed to do.

I felt like I had to continue working, as opposed to wanting to do so. Overall, the negative aspects of taking the drugs far outweighed the positives - which could have been for a number of reasons. People's bodies react differently to chemicals and tablets, and - after speaking to my doctor - I was told my liver had released an enzyme aimed at flushing the modafinil out of my system.

Having purchased them on the internet, I could also have been taking dud pills - though Jason told me he had used the same supplier before. In a way, I was disappointed not to have had the chance to feel the positive effects of modafinil I had heard about - but also felt a sense of relief knowing I had not been missing out.

The side effects and lack of productivity meant it was no wonder drug, and I would definitely not be tempted to try them again. British survivalists - known as "preppers" - are fixated on the need to survive in the event of a catastrophe. What motivates them, asks Benjamin Zand.
