I am not paid or anything by this company, i seriously just love them! Oh nice! Raw Rev bars are also really gooooood! Made With Local bars are some of my favorites, though not as readily available. For a smaller snack Nakd bars are good, and I have also been digging Larabar Uber lately.
What a great post! Not many people know what to look for when choosing protein bars. Perfect bars and Lara Bars are my absolute favorite. They only have 3g of sugar! Yes, they certainly are. They are not meant to be used as a meal replacement because they lack a lot of vitamins and minerals your body needs. I really, really wish I had been smart enough to invent these! No need to add globs of oil and syrup.

As a person who is hungry pretty much all the time, I'm always looking for healthy snack bars that will fill me up. I went through phases where I'd eat tons of Luna bars, then I moved to Special K bars, and at one point I was really into Fiber One bars would no recommend. With my intermediate knowledge of health food, I've come to the conclusion that Larabars are a pretty good snack bar option.
They're made with dates, they don't have many ingredients, and they aren't insanely high in sugar. But they have some weird flavors. So, I set out on a journey to figure out which bars were worth ordering in bulk. It should be noted that I did not include any flavors that my local grocery store was not carrying. I also purposefully excluded any flavors that had coconut or coffee because I hate those flavors and would've automatically put them at the bottom of my list.
I don't have my own picture of this one because I can't stand to look at it. I spit it out after my first bite. It was very dry and tasted mildly fishy. Best way to eat: With 12 grams of protein from egg whites and about 7 grams of fat, this bar can be used for recovery after a tough workout, or as a higher protein snack to tide you over during a longer stretch between meals.
Larabar is one of the original no-added-sugar bars on the market, at least until they introduced flavors with chocolate chips. The chip bars do include some added sugar as an ingredient in the chocolate chips, but the 19 bars without chocolate chips are only sweetened with dates and other fruit. For example, my personal favorite, pecan pie, contains just three ingredients: dates, pecans, and almonds. And the apple pie flavor only contains dates, almonds, unsweetened apples, walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon.
One Larabar contains about 18 grams of sugar from fruit, and even the flavors with chocolate chips provide just 3 grams of added sugar per bar. Larabar also makes fruit plus greens bars, like strawberry spinach cashew, as well as organic superfood bars, including turmeric ginger and beet—all with no added sugar. Best way to eat: Larabars make a great lower protein snack when you need something to get you through the few hours until your next meal.
Some of their flavors also include veggies or whole grains.
